Romantic Depot operates six, soon to be seven adult stores offering sex toys and lingerie, in the New York City area. Their flagship stores are in Manhattan and the Bronx. They’ve been around for sometime and over the years their website aged along with other businesses seeking to help drive local foot traffic. They’ve been around for some time and over […]
Link building is one of the harder aspects of SEO and because of this one of the least done. Unfortunately it is many times more powerful than anything you do to your page and content. No level of optimization of content will trump the power of well placed relevant backlinks. Its so hard few ever […]
In several previous articles we’ve covered: Domain Auditing, Page Speed And SEO, Backlinks and even some less than white hat techniques such as Private Blog Networks, Guest Posts and more. All of these are cogs in the greater overall machine which is Search Engine Optimization or SEO. To you and any other website owner it […]
What to do with a low ranking site?
I was asked a seemingly simple question by a client today. Should low level sites he owns be scrapped and used for their backlinks by 301 redirecting the sites.
Simplest Answer: I think it’s hard to quantify if a site is low level.
Ultimateseo.org has a DA 19, that seems pretty low. But keep in mind it used to be a DA 40 before Moz changed it’s scoring. Keep also in mind that change in scoring showed no reflection in the site’s ranking. I recommend 301 redirecting based on anchor text
What makes the difference between a paid subscription report or a free SEO audit from a website crawl? Nothing … they both need human interpretation which is where an audit includes critical thinking and problem solving..

Where are we going and why are we in this hand basket?
I like data, I’ve never been detail oriented but I think my years on a help desk taught me how to efficiently step back consider all the facts and determine what the simplest answer to a problem is … ( turn it off and

Subdomains are viewed separately…thats why yourblog.tumblr.com isn’t a tumblr backlink. Now those other links may increase traffic to your site but in regards to SEO value its one vote. Some call this metric
Well don’t totally forget the keywords but I think if you spend more than 5 minutes on keywords you’re going to be pretty surprised by some purported data I stumbled across. As you likely know Google uses about 200 factors in determining your sites ranking. I personally have place a lot of emphasis on speed […]
Multi-Domain Strategy In SEO
So I feel like its everyone’s dream to be a media conglomerate, why buy one newspaper when you can buy 100s? Well, SEO and the internet are one big community…so in the analogy … why build multiple newspapers in the same city? No one would do that and it’s about the same with the internet or at least it should be…but everyone wants to have multiple top ranking domains.
Real Life Examples Of Multiple Domains
There is only two ways this could work out…

Determining When You Have A Chance At A Keyword
So as I was reading for fun I stunbled across an often cited and well referenced Neil Patel article. So this isn’t my work but I wanted to share the excerpt from his much bigger article on how long it takes to rank.
6. Decide which keywords you should win before building out content based on those keywords.
Some content marketers set out to win ranking for a given keyword, without doing their due diligence on that keyword.
This can be a mistake.
Why? According to our data, websites that sought
This is a repost from https://www.mattcutts.com/blog/site-speed/ and its also from 2010. We’re reposting it here for our visitors to see how speed has long been a ranking factor. Its importance has grown considerably since this announcement was made in 2010. Google’s Mobile First initiative and creation of a separate mobile index matches the growing change […]
