Follow The Data Wins In SEO and SEM

Google Analytics, Google Search Console and Adwords all provide essential SEO / SEM Metrics that every site needs to monitor.  The greatest indicator of a site’s ability to rank a keyword long term is User Behavior.

What Metric Make Up User Behavior

CTR both paid and organic are correlated with keyword positions and site visibility.  Click Through Rate or CTR is likely more important than a site’s Domain Authority.

Quality Score is assigned in Adwords for each paid keyword, and its essential to monitor for SEM.

Bounce rate demonstrates how acceptable users find content after clicking on it.  If 90% of searchers bounce from your site Google notices, consequently your site’s ranking will suffer in competition with site’s that retain readers.

Page Visits, Page Visit Duration, are some more User Behavior Metrics that you should monitor and know because while they may or may not be direct ranking signals they are key indicators of a site’s content quality.

Google Data Studio is an analytics reporting tool that draws upon several data sources, providing integrated analytics and visualizations.
